KudiBot for Slack
Recognition and daily work, right in Slack
Give kudos, send your daily standup, log tasks and ask the KudiBot assistant without leaving Slack. Settings, reports and HR stay in the KudiBot dashboard.
What KudiBot does in Slack
The same organization data, permissions and hierarchy as the web and Discord.
Kudos
/kudos opens a modal to thank up to 10 people with a reason. Use “Give kudos” in a message menu, or react with one of your kudos emojis. /kudistats shows the leaderboard only to you.
Daily standups
A daily message in your standup channel with a “Send my report” button, reminders by DM, and a summary of who reported and who is blocked. /kudireport opens the report anytime.
Tasks and hours
/kuditask registers a completed task with its project and time. Tasks can be posted to a Slack channel, and hours add up in KudiBot reports.
App Home
Your kudos and hours today and this cycle, what is pending, buttons to send your report or log tasks, and a one-time sign-in link to KudiBot. /kudime shows the same summary.
The KudiBot assistant
Ask with /kudibot or write to KudiBot in its Messages tab. It answers from your organization data, only what you may see, and every change it proposes waits for your Approve.
Automations and reminders
Who is out today, the weekly kudos recap, custom messages and reminder DMs with buttons (start my day, I am blocked) in the channels you choose.
How to start
- Create your KudiBot organization (or sign in) and turn on the modules you need.
- In Settings → Apps, click Add to Slack and approve KudiBot in your workspace. The Slack module turns on.
- People are linked by the confirmed email of their Slack account. Invite to KudiBot anyone who is not a member yet.
- Invite KudiBot to the channels you want (/invite @KudiBot) and choose them in Settings → Recognition, Standups and Tasks.
- Everyone can now use /kudos, /kudireport, /kuditask, /kudime and /kudibot. Type /kudos help to see them all.
Privacy in Slack
- KudiBot never reads your channels, private channels or group DMs. It reads only the messages you send to KudiBot in its Messages tab, to answer them.
- From Slack it uses: people’s profile and email (to link them to KudiBot), the emoji reactions in conversations KudiBot is in (author and emoji, never the message text), what you type in its commands and modals, and the channel list for the channels you pick.
- The bot token is stored encrypted. Removing KudiBot from Slack deletes the token at once and the rest of the workspace’s Slack data after 30 days, unless you add it again. Disconnecting it in Settings → Apps deletes it right away.
- Kudos, reports and tasks given through Slack belong to your organization and stay in KudiBot, where admins can export or delete them.
The assistant uses AI only when your organization turns it on with its own AI provider key. People are sent as aliases, never names, and Slack data is never used to train models. AI answers can be inaccurate: check them, and nothing changes without your approval.
